Daily Insight #1: Please don’t bring the heat if you cant take it coming right back at ya.
In college these days it seems like such a taboo to speak your mind. You hear chatter and bickering and moaning because you’re being the “opinionated” one, the aggressive one, the one who always has something to say.
Well, gee…I thought that’s what we came here for?!?!
An opinion is not something to hide. A thought is not something to shun away when someone doesn’t agree with you. A suggestion is not something you should hold back just because you may hurt someone’s feelings. Feelings are emotions that get caught up in everyone’s minds. Oh you’re mad!! Oh you’re angry?! Oh you’re annoyed??!

No. I’m fine, I just have something to say.
I think that would matter, don’t you? *Audience nods head*
People who hold high titles or positions in certain organizations become too caught up in just THE TITLE (Ta-Da!) when all of the work is being done by someone else. Someone told me that it will probably be like that wherever you go, so what can you do? Well, speak your mind every once in a while. If you’re afraid to tell someone what you think face to face, there’s EMAIL people! Or, you can wait and see if the situation changes for the better…or hope it changes…or keep waiting…and waiting...and waiting...and well, you get the point.
The title, When Keepin’ It Real Goes Wrong suggests that when you let someone know something, things take a turn for the worse. A downhill spiral, a crash, a fail, a "'I wish I never said anything in the first place" moment. Well, not if you let them know in the proper way. Right?? What if tomorrow things get even worse than they were today? Who cares if the person gets upset about it. You know things have to be fixed and if you don’t do anything, then (you got it…) things wont be fixed.
It’s your life, you can do what you want! Just make sure that what you want to do doesn’t get you shot. But, I’m pretty sure that the person you want to speak with isn’t carrying around a 9 mm in their back pocket…on campus at least.

**You have a right to everything else in the world, I would like to think your opinion is included.**
