On November 21, 2010 I was granted the opportunity to join the most Illustrious sisterhood at my college here at the University of Florida. I became a part of The Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and my line was “30 Pearls of Prolification” aka 30 P.O.P. Since crossing into A.K.A I have enjoyed all of the things it has taught me. Even today it continues and will forever continue to teach me to be strong, a leader, a innovator, a TRUE woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha. I have been given the opportunity to actually have a sister for the first time in my life and although the road was not easy and we do have our ups and downs (as siblings do), I am happy that I can call any one of my linesisters/sorors at any time and they will be there for me. I know that I made the best decision that I could have and I know that Alpha Kappa Alpha will always be in my heart.
